Jakarta Global University (JGU) Menggelar acara buka puasa bersama Siswa/I SMK Se-Jabodetabek pada hari sabtu, 9 April 2022 di kampus utama Depok, dan memberikan beasiswa masing masing Rp 10 juta kepada seluruh siswa dan siswi yang hadir pada acara tersebut. Terdapat lebih dari 150 Siswa yang menghadiri acara ini antara lain dari SMKN 4 Bekasi, SMK Prestasi Prima Jakarta, SMK Al Makiyah, SMK YAJ Depok dan beberapa SMK Wilayah Bogor dan Tangerang.
Program Manager sekaligus kepala departemen Kemahasiswaan (SDCS) Onki Alexander menerangkan. Kegiatan ini di tujukan sebagai salah satu kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat sebagaimana kewajiban tridarma perguruan tinggi disamping penelitian dan pengajaran. Menyerap potensi masyarakat yang ingin mengeyam penddikan yang lebih tinggi namun terkendala oleh biaya Pendidikan. Selain itu merupakan upaya JGU dalam memberikan apresiasi terhadap siswa/I SMK yang pernah menjalani program magang di kampus .
Hendra Martana selaku Guru pembina dari SMK Al Makiyah Jakarta, Mengungkapkan rasa bersyukurnya atas pemberian beasiswa ini. Beliau berharap kegiatan ini dapat terus berlangsung agar dapat memberikan motivasi kepada Siswa/I SMK untuk melanjutkan Pendidikan ke tingkat yang lebih tinggi sehingga mereka mampu bersaing di dunia industri.
Turut hadir dalam memberikan beasiswa Wakil Rektor 1 bidang Akademik Dr.Adhes Gamayel, dan Wakil Rektor 2 Bidang SDM Risma Ekawati. Ketua Jurusan Untung Suprihadi, Agung Pangestu, Ali Ridho Dekan Fakultas Dr Muhammad Zulkifli dan Rizki Farmasita, serta para mahasiswa yang menjadi panitia dalam acara ini. ( Depok, 9/4/2022)
